Technical Excellence for Yorkshire and the Humber
The Food Technology Advisory Service has been established to help food businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber grow and thrive.The service delivers advice, support, and manufacturing related projects, in food production environments by providing technologists to work in companies. The support that is offered is industry led and not prescriptive allowing a high degree of flexibility for companies to find solutions to their individual needs.
The service receives funding from Yorkshire Forward, the regional development agency. This funding enables access to technologists, sometimes for free, and always at a price that reflects the needs of small and medium sized businesses. Additional funding is available to support further external consultancy.

Food Technologist – Innovation
Salary to circa £30K
A qualified Food Technologist is sought who has a minimum of 3-5 years experience within a manufacturing environment. The role is hands on, factory and laboratory based, and will require good inter personal skills and the ability to manage projects of varying complexity across all food categories.Applications are sought primarily from candidates with a product development background who must be able to deliver technical expertise and wide product and process knowledge, over a range of sectors. Applications are encouraged from candidates wishing to work part time.
